Fresh Leads Versus Aged Leads





You are excited! You just started up your networking business and you are ready to launch your business to the world by purchasing a list of leads of people that are hopefully just as excited about a life without financial woes and time freedom as you are and then it hits you�$4.00 a lead. Ouch!

You quickly calculate that it will cost you $400 to hopefully be able to talk to 100 people about your business. Ouch again! Are these $4.00 leads worth the price? This is where the age-old debate of quality versus quantity begins.

Any industry veteran will tell you, the secret to being successful in networking is not selling people on your opportunity, rather it is sorting through enough people to find those right people for your opportunity. It is quite simple really. The more people you talk to, the more people you will find that are right for your business.

This is especially important when you are first starting out. It takes time, practice, and patience to earn the confidence that will be necessary to increase the number of people that are attracted to you.
Yes, I said attracted to you. Most often a prospect will be willing to join your company because they have connected with you and feel that you are the one that can help them become successful.

However, unless you are natural born leader with an instant knack for the phone, you might have to stumble through a few hundred calls before you get enough practice with your script to come across as confident and comfortable.

So what is the solution? Most likely, these same leads that are being sold for $4.00 as a live lead or phone interviewed lead will be sold again as an aged lead for a fraction of the cost. If you look around you�ll see them called aged leads, 7-14 day old, etc. Yes they have been contacted once, twice, or more, before you receive them, however for the fraction of the cost they can fit into anyone�s budget.

There are two main things you need to keep in mind:

1) Not every opportunity is right for everyone.
2) Not everyone is as charming as you!

Even if other people have called these leads before you, the opportunities they are representing may not have been a right fit for them. Or perhaps they may not have felt comfortable with the other people. When you first chose the company you are with now, did you look around first to see what your options were before joining?

Most prospects will often want to evaluate different opportunities before making their life changing decision.
So are $4.00 leads worth it? Absolutely! But only after you are ready for them, so you can make the best of them. But until then, why not start off with a lead that began as a high quality or premium lead that is aged slightly so that you can purchase substantially more. Remember, it�s about finding quality people, and the more people you talk to, the more quickly you will find them. The right people will be receptive to you, whether they filled out a form today, or a week ago.

As you get more experience and practice. Start combining the higher quality or fresher leads with your aged leads to experience both. You will figure out what balance of leads will work best for you and your budget.
Parting Tip: As you get better, your leads will get better, regardless of the age or quality of the lead.

Remote Training Out of State Eb!


This is your last chance this week for NAP remote training for out of state Energy Brokers or those in CT Only that are unable to make it to a meeting for whatever reason.  Maryland and PA Brokers MUST be trained by local PA and MD trainers either in person or remotely.  If you are in these 2 states and need training set up remotely contact your AM ASAP. 
 
This training is for those brokers who are not in Maryland, or Pennsylvania.  We will have an approved list of local trainers for those states on the back office shortly. Even if you are a five hour drive from PPL in PA or a couple of hours from BG&E territory in MD we can not and will not sign off on those trainings.  If you fall into that category and do not wish to wait for the list to go on the back office feel free to contact one of us as we will arrange remote trainings for you with those local trainers. 

Remember you must be trained to sell.

Carey Turnbull, Chairman

Mr. Turnbull has 30 years of experience in the energy market and has an extensive background in the management of energy commodity price risk. Prior to North American Power, he was Senior Partner and Managing Director of energy brokerage firm Amerex, which he co-founded in 1983. While at Amerex Mr. Turnbull developed the company's regulated futures business on the International Petroleum Exchange in London, and founded its petroleum brokerage business in Asia. He was also involved with Amerex's development of natural gas and electricity derivative instruments, and the adoption of the online trading booth.

We will have 3 remote trainings this week for out of state Energy Brokers or those in CT Only that are unable to make it to a meeting for whatever reason.  Maryland and PA Brokers MUST be trained by

by Michael. Remember you must be trained to sell.  You must have sent your desire to train to michael007@uspowerenergy.com at least 30 minutes before Training is set to begin.  You must before training starts go to uspowerenergy.com/training and print out all documents at the bottom of the page.  These Documents will be Updated by Midnight on September 7th so wait at least until then to Print out
as we have old Material currently up on the site.  All will be referred to in the training.  At the end of the training instruction will be given as to where to send your completed training form to be signed off on.
Role Call will be taken at beginning and end of training.

Congratulations to Peter and Courtney New Napower Area Managers!

Peter and Courtney Day are over the top on their personal Area
Manager Qualifications.  They will have official title on Tuesday
as much of their group is in Maryland so their organization must be
manually adjusted but  be sure to know that they are there and
earned it in less than 6 weeks.
 
Peter at just 19 is building a huge business side by side with his
Mom Courtney who went full time with NAP last week and comes to NAP
not only with a great background in Marketing but a Harvard
Education.  Courtney is specializing in Large commercial and Peter
is focused on Recruiting as well as other aspects of the business. 
They are already proving to be an unbeatable team.
 
On a personal note before I knew Courtney and her Harvard
Background I referred to Peter as a cross between Justin Beeber
Meets Harvard.  Fred Stevens calls him "The Kid".  Whatever we call
him there is no doubt that Peter and Courtney are an important
piece of the Growing NAP story and we are all proud to have them in
our company.
 
We will have their official Recognition and Pinning at the Stamford
Meeting Wednesday night, I suggest you all pack the house as it will
be a memorable evening.  Again Congratulations to Peter and
Courtney.

Traffic Echanges Explained!

So you want to know what a Traffic Exchange is? No problem....

A Traffic Exchange or Hit Exchange as they are also known is a real Traffic Alternative. Basically you receive exposure for your own web site, banner ads, and even text links by viewing the sites and ads of other people.
Before you click away if you are thinking I do not have time to view other peoples sites, I must tell you that you do not have to as all exchanges sell advertising so if your short on time you can buy ads without any work.

These programs provide you with a very powerful and cost effective way of :

- Putting your product or service in front of a very diverse audience
- Seeing what other folks are promoting
- Getting an idea of how your competition is targeting their campaigns
- Branding your name, gather leads, and yes, even make sales

Traffic Exchanges are member based, so you must open an account with each exchange you intend to use. This is a simple task that can be completed in just a couple of minutes, and for FREE exchanges it costs nothing to join.

Traffic Exchanges operate on a credit system. Members earn credits by participating in a variety of ways, and then "spend" these credits on website visitors to their own pages, banner ad impressions, text links, and in some cases, even email advert's.

By maintaining active memberships in a few good exchanges, you can generate a tremendous flow of traffic for any web site you wish to advertise. When used properly, these resources are an excellent way to promote just about anything.

There are Manual Traffic Exchanges and Auto Surf Traffic Exchanges:

Manual - These are the exchanges that I always use as you have to click to the next site after so many seconds. This means you have to see the page to click.

AutoSurf - I stay away from these as members can just switch on and leave it scrolling from site to site while say making a cup of coffee, No one need actually see your page and in my experience many if not all dont.

You can have combination exchanges that have both but they tend to be avoided by myself.

Now you know the two types of exchanges you must now choose a FREE or PAID Exchange.

FREE - A Free exchange costs nothing to join or use and is a great free advertising resource.
I belong to over 40 FREE Exchanges.

PAID or PRO A Paid exchange or PRO exchange as they are also known requires a one time joining fee to join but this can be good as you know that every person using the exchange has actually put their hand in their pocket and spent some money online. These in my view produce better results than the free exchanges but generally have a lot less members so not as wide a reach.
